Workout Program for People with Sciatica/Lower Back Pain
Goal of this Workout Program:
I designed this workout program to help people that are dealing with Sciatica/ lower back pain to return to the gym, develop a high level of fitness, and return to activities that they enjoy.
My Story:
I first started experiencing Sciatica symptoms at twenty years old. I was in a car accident, and started to develop complications with my right knee. I struggled with imbalances, and soon developed horrible Sciatica symptoms on my right side. One night, I was unable to get out of bed, and went to the hospital, unsure of what had happened. I was given an injection and some exercises to help me recover. After a few weeks, I was not improving as much as I would like. After rehab and physical therapy were unsuccessfully, I decided to take an extended period off from all gym activities (around a year). This did not help. I tried to return to the gym a year later, but the pain was even worse. I began to grow exasperated because I was out of shape, in pain, and unable to do even the most simple of sport or gym activities. I started to read extensively about Sciatica, lower back pain, leg pain, knee pain, and how to strengthen the whole body, from the joints to the muscles. I consumed hundreds of hours of videos, articles, and books around how to get myself back to 100%. I went to physical therapy, took X-Rays, and did everything I could to return to normal. This program is the result of that time, effort, and experience. The photos you can see in the thumbnail and cover photo are me, back in shape after years of sciatica pain.
